| | VNV Nation - Chrome | ] | I just want to know when we decided to sit around and write The 40 Year-Old Virgin. I mean, this is clearly something that we've done at some point. I'd like my money now. Oh, and who decided that I was going to be that guy (and drunk girl)? I am offended. In a funny way, of course.
Oh, and we're going to the club on Wednesday. Avengers, assemble.
(Or holla if you need to conserve cool points). |

| | Institute - Bullet Proof Skin | ] | For some of us at the very least, the new year begins today. There's still that rollercoaster of holidays to go through, but last year was better than the year before it. Congratulations to everyone! Everyone's managed to continue along their various different paths, no matter how difficult that journey became. You're all an inspiration to me as I try to figure out which state I'm going to end up in, which school is stupid enough to let me in, and how to pay for it all:) Back to your regularly scheduled programming, folks. Thanks for being there this last year. |

| | PJ Harvey - Down by the Water | ] | Everyone seems to be finding the path lately. Everyone seems to be figuring out what they want and how to get it. It's always good to see these endings and beginnings, along with the reminders that nothing ever really ends. Bah. I'd inspire if I could, but instead I'll merely offer encouragement to those who merit it, offer comfort to those who need it, and love all around. Life really is beautiful. It's a shame it takes so much to see it sometimes.

| | Saigon - Kiss the Babies | ] | One down. One of the best conversations I've had in months, as a matter of fact. We covered everything from eating habits to the nature of the universe and I remembered why I care in the first place. Yesterday I found out that I can't go to the concert, have to work on my day off, and have to cut my visit with my dad short. But I'm still in a great mood. Thanks for all the love yesterday:) It certainly made me appreciate the fact that you guys are around. One to go...
P.S.
Thanks for leaving yesterday. Everything's lovely. |

| | Kanye West ft. Common - My Way Home | ] | I decided a few weeks ago that I was carrying a little too much "hate". Not like "Now you die!" hate. Or even "A pox upon both your houses" hate. Just this general policy where I'd let things that didn't necessarily even effect me make me avoid people like the plague. An anti-drama filter at best, I suppose. Systematically, I looked at things and realized...I don't hate anyone. Or even dislike anyone. I'm pretty much cool. I had some conversations that needed to be had, attempted some conversations that weren't meant to be, and generally put everything to rights. Except for these two niggling little issues. One today, one tomorrow, and I'm done. Everyone's got this "clean slate" which deserves quotation marks only because I'm not the kind of person who pretends to forget what happened before. Acceptance, that's the key to love (or at least relationships in general) in my humble opinion.
So after I clean house, erase a few numbers, and dust off my monologue, I will be all love yet once again. At the very least, I won't be "all hate". I hope that counts. In exchange for running these two errands I'm giving myself a chance to sit down with my dad for the first time in two (?) years and tickets to the Weezer Fighters show. Not the rewards I would have chosen off the top of my head, but pleasant none the less. Or so help me, I will destr- I mean, it's all good:)
All love, y'all.

| | Garbage - Milk (Completely Trashed Remix) | ] | So. Serenity is hot. I'm not saying it's the bestest sci-fi flick ever made, but it is...a leaf on the wind. It's beautiful for what it is. If you're just in a mood for a good movie, here it is. If you've gotten to know these characters... well, this is the mythical "moment" that some of them have been waiting for. And that fact was enough to bring this particular venegeful, furry god to happy misty land. It's like someone asked Joss who these characters were and he wrote a movie to make most of them stand up off the page and say "I am." If you've ever been in a place where that's the right answer to your personal musings, then you should be watching this movie right now. Poke me if you want someone to bounce around next to you. |

No matter who you've voted for, you've made the wrong decision. I'm glad most of you went out and voted, despite the fact that no one seems satisfied with the available choices. We'll see how well that works out for us in 2008.
And while I'm here, I'd very much like to thank those individuals responsible for dragging me into (and presumably out of) Philadelphia. One of these days, I'll have to show up late enough to carry you out of a party:) |

| | My Chemical Romance - I'm Not Okay (I Promise) | ] | Look at me making two posts back to back with no reguard to your friends page. It won't happen again. I promise.
Oh, yeah. Apparently the mailbox on my phone only holds 40 messages. So it's full. It will likely remain that way for some time. If you'd like to be ignored, you can send me a text message which is the only thing I check anyway. However, if you lack text messaging, I'm sure I'd also pay attention if some pony express guy showed up and handed me a letter. If it gets to my house without pony or express I'm probably going to ignore it until you send me a text message anyway, so be careful about that. I mean, you could also hop in your horseless carriage and come on over. Of course, then you'd just be wondering how often it is that I come home in the first place. Then you'd get a few hours of sleep until I stop in to grab some clothes for work. I wouldn't wake you up. 'Cause I hate doing that. This could continue for several days (with you sleeping and me bouncing around) until I get a restraining order and offer to pay for the first month or so of text messaging. You know, because that's probably the best way to get a hold of me. If someone was interested in that sort of thing. |

| | Jimmy Eat World - Get It Faster | ] | It's been kind of hard to figure out where all the captains and honorary members of Team Ninja are going to be this Halloween, so I've decided to make it really easy for all of us. Comment on this post. Tell me if you're having a party or which party/parties you're going to. This way, everyone knows where to go without having to call the entire tri-state area.
I'll start: 1) I'll be going to Matt's party and probably the parties of a few people you don't know as well.
2) After that I'll be at Mary and Gumballs'. If I'm required to fulfill my duties as Gerbil-in-Command I'll be there the whole time, but they are having a party even if I have to replace a window when we're done. |
